once hong kong’s red-light district, wan chai's naughty reputation is on the wane. it’s one of the poorer districts, people here are struggling with the rising unemployment rate. this is where cyberlife has recently opened their first android only sex-club, the eden club.
the poster child for a thousand images of hong kong, the central district, is the city of skyscrapers. home to more high-rises than anywhere else on the planet, the streets here are flush with wealth, from big banks to break-the-bank shopping malls. it’s also home to the hongkong police station, as well as the cyberlife tower, where androids are manufactured.
once a separate fishing village, aberdeen has almost been swallowed up by the city, but it still retains its connection with the sea. the number of boat people in the harbor has dwindled, but they remain a powerful echo of hong kong’s seafaring past, as does the seafood market held each morning. aberdeen is also rumoured to be home to an abandoned freighter called jericho, a secret deviant hideout.
perched above the city, the peak is an exclusive residential enclave that is home to hong kong’s wealthiest. there are a handful of restaurants hotels. from the very top, you can peer down onto the city below and the south china sea, and on a clear day, you can see across to china. this is where cyberlife's founder lives, on the very outskirts of the district.

central is home to the cyberlife tower, which is the headquarters of cyberlife aka where it's research center and main production facility are located. it is an imposing tower where a large amount of androids are manufactured and stored, and where various other cyberlife related business takes place. the cyberlife tower is heavily secured with mobile reinforced walls controlling access with a heavily armed private security force. the tower has at least 93 floors, with 44 above ground. central is also where the hong kong police department (hkpd) resides. in 2031, they introduced police androids into its law enforcement. the androids are used for minor patrolling, guarding or observational tasks. in 2038, a series of cases involving deviant androids have occurred. cyberlife sent a prototype detective android, to assist in the investigation.

the peak is the wealthiest district of all. the residents here are either celebrities, former athletes or people that inherited a lot of family money. androids are very common in this district as most rich people use them to aid with everyday tasks, such as cooking, cleaning or taking care of their children.

aberdeen is a fishing district with lots of ships and harbours. it is also rumoured to be the home of jericho, an abandoned freighter that's a secret hideout far out the city for rebellious androids. freed androids and so called deviants that broke through their program follow a hidden path that only androids are able to find to come here, they hide from humans that are trying to enslave them. they believe humans and androids should be treated as equals, since they are just as alive.
they are lead by the first android to break through their program and their mission is to free other androids by converting them, making them deviants who are able to think for themselves without having to accomplish tasks and serve humans. since the androids of jericho take in weak androids that have been harmed by humans, their work includes stealing bio components and thirium (blue blood) from the cyberlife towers in central to stitch the other deviants back up and get them to function again, they have androids that have been designed to repair other androids that specialize in such tasks, they call them doctors.

wan chai is located in the east of hongkong, their biggest attraction being the eden club, a sex club that offers male and female android models that can be rented for a specific amount of time, ranging from half an hour to six hours, depending on the price the customer is willing to pay. the club offers different rooms where they are used, but the androids can also be taken off the premises to make house calls.
the club's hallway spaces have androids displayed in transparent booths, where they can be browsed and taken out after a purchase is made via the adjacent panel; the purchase requires fingerprint verification.
to protect the privacy of its customers, this club's policy is to reset all androids memory every two hours. there also is not any video surveillance on the premises and no recent reported behavior of deviancy.
